We’re shutting down the pub
Hey Screeners,
The time has come for me to shut down Seen On Screen.
I love talking about movies, TV, streaming, and celebrities, and I especially enjoy getting recommendations about what to watch and the personal stories that accompany visual entertainment.
The thing is, I don’t have the time to devote to this pub, and I’d rather end it now rather than see it limping along.
There are many fine movie and pop culture publications on Medium, and I bet they’ll be more than happy to accept your reviews and recaps. If your piece is heavily tied to memory or reflects upon your life, a memoir or personal essay publication might be perfect.
Although I’ll no longer accept new submissions, I’ll leave the pub up for a month so you can pull your pieces before they become self-published. Don’t limit yourself with what you do with these pieces — rework them or put them together in an essay book — the possibilities are endless.
After the month, I’ll delete the pub, and Seen On Screen will be like the fond memory you have for your old video store or basic cable.
